Hearing loss is often due to a medically or surgically correctable problem and is most correctly addressed with a team approach, including a physician and audiologist. Our Hearing Center is equipped to diagnose and treat hearing disorders of all ages, ranging from newborns to adults. The licensed audiologist works under the supervision of the physician to provide a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic options.

From proper fitting to follow-up counseling, our professionals can ensure you receive the most benefit from your hearing aids. VANESSA PARANAGUA 

Vanessa G. Paranagua, M.S., CCC-A is board certified and licensed in the field of Audiology.  A native of Brazil, Vanessa completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin. She went on to complete her Masters degree in audiology at Lamar University and is currently working towards her Doctorate degree in audiology.    

Vanessa is currently a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the same prestigious organization.   Vanessa has obtained manufacturer-certified training from various hearing aid companies to dispense and service their hearing aids.  Her expertise lies not only in the testing of hearing and hearing aid fitting, but also in the evaluation of patients who suffer from dizziness and balance disorders.
  EMILY SALAZAR
Emily Salazar, Au.D. is a licensed audiologist.  She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders at Abilene Christian University and a Master of Science degree in Audiology at the University of North Texas (UNT). She earned a Doctorate of Audiology from A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences.   

Emily has worked with ENT physicians for most of her career and also has supervised students as they practiced their audiological skills at UNT.  She enjoys performing audiological examinations on people of all ages  and evaluating vestibular disorders that cause dizziness and vertigo.  Personally, Emily enjoys spending time with her family including her  husband and young daughter.  
  DANIELE PAIVA

Daniele B. de A. Paiva, Au.D., is a licensed audiologist by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.

Born and raised in Sao Paulo Brazil, fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, Daniele obtained her bachelor degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology at the Pontificial Catholic University of Sao Paulo (PUC-SP) in 1998. In 2003 she moved to Texas, where she obtained her doctoral degree in audiology from the University of North Texas (UNT).

Daniele has experience in different audiology settings and really enjoys working in the medical field. She performs comprehensive audiological assessments on a broad range of patients - from infants to elderly. She also evaluates patients with complaints of vertigo, lightheadedness and dizziness.  

Plano is now home for Daniele, her husband and their little daughter.  On her time off she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her beloved family.
